Our mission is to accelerate the mass adoption of electric vehicles to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions. Since being established in 2014, and with the only demonstrated technology capable of charging off the shelf lithium-ion batteries as quickly as filling a tank of gas, we’ve grown rapidly and are working with some of the largest automotive manufacturers in the world.

About you
You are a passionate hardware electrical engineer with a track record of developing products in the electronics industry. You possess a broad technical knowledge base, grounded in an engineering degree and through experience working with highly technical teams and environments. You enjoy working with diverse teams, and understand how to work together through the process of solving complex technical problems. You are experienced, and comfortable taking ownership of projects and coordinating the activities of a small team, if necessary. You are flexible and able to react quickly in dynamic environments. You get stuff done.

Your responsibilities and areas of impact:

  • Leading electrical hardware PCB level design, design verification, and qualification projects.
  • Design and develop implementation prototypes that will be used to demonstrate ultra-fast charging.
  • Develop complex test equipment and instruments, used by internal teams to advance our technology.
  • Own hardware development assignments, including system trades, setting and negotiating requirements, end to end documentation, scheduling, design and analysis, build, qualification, production, and test.
  • Work with development team members to reach effective solutions to complex electrical engineering problems for our products and systems.

What we're looking for you to bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar
  • Deep experience in mixed-signal and power electronics PCB design
  • Ability to speak geek, customer, and business
  • Experience in design of Data Acquisition and Source Measure Units (SMU) test equipment and instruments
  • Excellent knowledge of Power Control Theory and SMPS power supply design
  • Practical application experience of ADCs, DACs, amplifiers for signal generation and acquisition
  • Proficiency with CAD tools: PCAD, Altium PCB or equivalent
  • An interest in environment and sustainability, and an eagerness to reduce our global carbon footprint

It's a bonus if you've:

  • Designed Li-ion Battery Management Systems and Battery Pack's for Industrial and Automotive applications
