Since being established in 2014, and with the only demonstrated technology capable of charging off-the-shelf lithium-ion batteries as quickly as filling a tank of gas, we’ve grown rapidly and are working with some of the largest automotive manufacturers in the world.

About the role
We're looking for a Digital Power Electrical Engineer experienced in the design of digital control loops using FPGA or MCU platform to work on complex projects at the cutting-edge of battery charging technology. You will be working in an ambitious team of engineers and scientists to develop a reference design implementation solution for our adaptive battery management system. Tasks will include HDL or low-level firmware programming, part selection, PCB schematic and layout development, prototyping and fabrication.

Your responsibilities

  • HDL or low-level firmware digital power loop programming
  • Design and troubleshoot electronic circuits including component selection, schematics capture and printed circuit board layout
  • Generate required documentation for testing, manufacturing, product specification etc.
  • Take ownership in ensuring success of product from concept to production release
  • Assure product quality by developing and executing test plans to verify production equipment prior to release
  • Provide theoretical and hands on support to all departments
  • Provide guidance and training to individuals as requested by management


Preferred qualifications

  • Digital feedback control
  • Linear and Switching power supply design expertise
  • Experience interfacing with PMIC for Li-ion battery charging
  • Expert in analog and power electronics
  • Micro controller designing and programming experience (C, C++)
  • FPGA design and programming experience (Verilog, VHDL)
  • Test Automation and data processing (Python, Matlab)
  • Hands on soldering skills


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 5+ years experience of analog and power electronics design
